The School Counseling Group, Inc. under the leadership of Peter A. Sturtevant, Jr., was founded in 1979 by Ethna Hopper. Our counselors and staff provide compassionate, professional counsel to families seeking healthy ways to address the unique educational and emotional needs of their children. Our goal is to identify and evaluate schools, programs, and other resources continually, and to provide our families with current, thoughtful, and effective choices. We are educators, consultants, and partners with our clients in the challenging and rewarding process that accompanies a successful search. Our diverse range of services include counsel for day and boarding school placement, college counseling, special needs, and crisis intervention/placement for struggling teens.
