IMA's cartographic services include the creation of transportation and transit maps, reference maps, wall maps, directories, tourist and travel maps, recreational and event maps and maps for reports or publications.

IMA's boundary analysis services include data compilation, digital mapping, GIS data base management, geodesy, virtual 3-D mapping, geomorphologic analysis of the extent of the continental margin, and 3-D bathymetric modeling.

The cartographers at IMA have more than twenty years of experience in assisting states with assessing their existing or potential territorial and maritime claims. This work includes mapping zones of maritime jurisdiction, assessing claims of neighboring States, and assisting with litigation when claims overlap. IMA's president Scott Edmonds, who was a member of the group of technical experts that reviewed the United Nations' Handbook on the Delimitation of Maritime Boundaries, oversees all boundary work.
